Rubens Gonçalves Barrichello, known worldwide as Rubinho, was born in São Paulo, Brazil. His talent emerged in karting before a successful move to Europe, where winning the British Formula 3 Championship opened the door to Formula 1.
Across an extraordinary Formula 1 career, Rubens raced for Jordan, Stewart, Ferrari, Honda, Brawn GP and Williams. He earned 11 Grand Prix victories, 68 podiums and finished runner-up in the World Championship in 2002 and 2004.
After Formula 1, Barrichello continued competing at the highest level, becoming a two-time Stock Car champion. His longevity, technical sensitivity and lifelong passion for racing make him one of motorsport’s most respected figures.
That same pursuit of precision connects Rubens with Extreme Simracing: real racing experience translated into immersive, high-performance simulation.
